The product seems to be good; it changes the temperature gradually, not immediately. I tested it in boiling water and it showed 96 degrees, and I am 500 meters above sea level. It should have shown something around 98.5 degrees. In ice, it showed correctly, see the photos.

Comes with battery already which is a bonus. its not an instant read - takes time to get to temperature but seems accurate enough!
